I don't really give two shits about the whole race thing. What catches my eye is the enormous hypocrisy on display when you say the things the "vocal minority"(and I'm referring to the comic geek minority here, not a racial minority) clamor for won't sell, yet you and (everyone else) say that the diversity efforts don't sell either. Yet you keep pushing more and more of those while we're stuck with the ramifications of crap like OMD and Axis.

How are you stuck with any crap?

Buy OMD and AXIS or don’t buy it—the choice is completely up to you.

The same goes for any title, diverse or otherwise.

We publish what we want to publish, what we choose to publish. That is our right as publishers. As a consumer, you get to choose what you want to consume.

Also, where did I ever say that diversity efforts don’t sell either. You’re confusing that post from some fellow fan for something from me.

Seriously.

I did not like OMD. It turned me off to Peter Parker. I have almost no interest in him, even though I have made some attempts to rekindle the fandom. I have bought maybe 4 Spider-Man books since then. I still enjoy reading Spider-Man guest appearances, but don’t care about the guy under the mask. Bitching about it 7 years later seems ridiculous.

Nobody makes you buy any of these books. Don’t give them your money if you do not like it. That is the most powerful motivator you have as a consumer.
