Generation X
by Chris Bachalo and Tim Townsend

We sometimes get stuck on the idea that nothing ever changes in comics. While there is a solid piece of truth in that, the Marvel Universe does evolve, and become something new, as time progresses.

At one time, Emma was a recent villain trying to reform, and become a better person. She is now Cyclops’ partner.

Jubilee was Wolverine’s teen sidekick, and in some ways, a Robin analog. Her identity is no longer that of a tag along, but rises on her own merits, and is a mother.

Synch, Skin, and Banshee have all been dead for sometime now. Please bring Synch back, Marvel.

Paige, M, and Chamber have all gone through their own personal evolutions over the years.

Things do change, but just as in real life, they are incremental, and you don’t always notice it until shown what things used to be like.
